Displaying an overpayment in Events Host - PPL-709
Events Host will now be able to see what bookings have payments other than deposit or pre-payment when viewing the list of bookings.
The new orange tag shown on the right will contain the total amount required to be paid against the booking and the total amount paid. It will only be shown when there is an overpayment (paid more than required) or an unallocated payment (a payment not allocated to a deposit or a pre-payment accounts). Here are a few examples:
-
Payments are made in Aztec without a deposit requirement in Events.
-
Payments are made in Aztec greater than the deposit requirement in Events.
-
Bookings that are imported into Events with payments greater than the deposit requirement.
-
Bookings that are imported into Events with payments when there is no deposit requirement.
Additionally, the payments section of individual bookings has been restructured to show how much is required, paid and remaining to be paid against a deposit, a pre-payment, and in total. If there is an overpayment against a booking, the overpaid amount will be shown as ‘Other’.
Booking Rules - Ability for the Host to override a deposit - PPL-514
Both Events and Tables Host will now be able to change the deposit amount required, remove a deposit, as well as add a deposit when one was not originally required. This can be done when creating a booking or when editing an existing booking.
To override a deposit within Events select the 'Edit requirements' button within the 'Booking Requirements' section when creating or editing a booking.
The host can then enable or disable the deposit requirement, as well as editing the per adult/child deposit amounts, and the deposit due by date.
In Tables, the host can override the deposit while creating a booking, and also edit the per adult/child deposit amounts, and the deposit due by date.
To edit a deposit within Tables on an existing booking, open a booking and select the 'Edit requirements' button. The host will be taken to the same edit screen as seen during booking creation.
NOTE: If any deposit amount has already been paid, the deposit value cannot be decreased.
NOTE: The ability to override a deposit will be enabled for all hosts. You will be able to configure this yourself within the 1.42 release. If you wish for this to be disabled for your Estate, please contact your account manager.

We would like to let you know if other developments and features that we have also been making progress towards within this cycle.
Bookable Areas
There are a number of features that needs to be completed for the Bookable Areas functionality to be available. Some of the features we are working on will not be available to customers until the completion of future features later in the year and we are working through these in every sprint.
Move administration of store/site 'timeslots' to Events - Standard Days (PPL-495)
As this feature is coming to completion, we have been able to start working through the next feature for Bookable areas:
Move administration of store/site 'timeslots' to Events - Special Days (PPL-682)
Work has been started on this feature, moving us further towards the Bookable Areas functionality.
Booking Rules
Booking Rules - Phase 1: Replicate existing menu rules functionality within Booking Rules (PPL-453)
In order to be able to surface the new booking rules administration and functionality, we have completed the implementation of deposit functionality and are in the final stages of the pre-order requirement functionality. Over the next cycle we will also be working through pre-authorisation and pre-payment:
Booking Rules - Phase 1: Replicate existing menu rules functionality within Booking Rules - Pre-Payment and Pre-Auth (PPL-698)
This is not yet available to customers and our intention is to deliver this and subsequent work in upcoming releases.
